More courage than I can say I've had when things have come up in the past outside of last year. You will listen to your body and get thru it, I'm sure!! I just hope all these methods have worked and that when you give us a Final preview for Boston, you will say you've been pain free for these past few weeks but whatever it is, it is!! I still admire what you have accomplished in so many ways from where you were when you first caught the running bug many years ago! You've been tremendous!!Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16727212475858505605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2189875022254484779.post-57641743959122071102022-04-08T17:49:21.824-04:002022-04-08T17:49:21.824-04:00Glad to hear that you are feeling better! Reminds me of one year training for Boston coming up with torn meniscus. It was a simple tear not warranty surgery, but ortho just went with a cortisone injection. It was amazing that within 3-days it felt 95% normal. I had to work gradually back walking/easy running, but was able to show up and run and finish the marathon using run/walk strategy. I am sure you will be able to start and finish, maybe you take a laid back and not competitive approach, you have to make that a decision a day or two before the race. But the important point is...your going back to Boston. My favorite marathon race, and I miss my days running it! Keep your faith and persistence! I am currently helping a family member with this and it’s certainly frustrating. This is where concierge doctors are helpful, but not usually practical, expense wise. It sounds like you have a good team, and you have proven your mettle when it comes to the hard work of resting. Keep up the good work and Lord willing, you’ll make it to that Boston finish line!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12785202205275979319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2189875022254484779.post-55686420129539523592022-04-07T21:56:05.050-04:002022-04-07T21:56:05.050-04:00Thinking of you and sending positive vibes !
